Eden Games’ Gear.Club Stradale is coming exclusively to Apple Arcade, bringing officially licensed supercars to Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV formats.
Eden Games is perhaps best known recently for bringing Formula 1 to mobile devices thanks to its partnership with EA on the F1 Mobile Racing game. The French studio also made Test Drive Unlimited and Test Drive Unlimited 2, however, and its these titles that Gear.Club Stradale has more than a hint of.
A place to collect cars, supercars glinting in the sun and a romantic location.
But for Gear.Club Stradale the scene is shifted to the Tuscan countryside, with players finding themselves building a car club from their palatial villa.
Racing with club mates in daily, weekly and monthly challenges against opponents across the globe will unlock new cars and content, with players also able to upgrade their workshop to better tune and personalise their cars.
With intelligent driving assists, the developer promises that Gear.Club Stradale will be equally accessible and playable.
Apple Arcade (AA) is a subscription-based gaming service currently costing $4.99/£4.99 per month, with Gear.Club Stradale set to join Split/Second-inspired Detonation Racing as another AA racing game exclusive. Those wishing to try before they buy can sample AA with a one-month free trial.
Eden Games’ Gear.Club Unlimited 2 on Nintendo Switch gained a favourable review here at Traxion.GG, but its follow-up, Gear.Club Unlimited 2: Ultimate Edition failed to impress – although this ported version was performed by a different developer.
Will Gear.Club Stradale be a return to form for the series and provide Apple Arcade with a worthwhile exclusive? We’ll find out when it releases very soon.
