In conjunction with the folks at the popular automotive content-related YouTube channel Donut Media, Forza Horizon 5‘s 14th festival playlist will be celebrating the popular brand during the course of the month of November.
This isn’t the first time that Donut Media has been a part of a video game as they worked with Codemasters and the DIRT 5 title back in 2020. Fast forward to 2022 and Donut Media is back in the gaming sphere once again.
There’s both a new Horizon Story involving James and Nolan from Donut as well as a themed festival celebrating everyone’s love of cars. Here’s what to expect in the festival as far as rewards and content are both concerned.
FORZA HORIZON 5, DONUT MEDIA FESTIVAL, SERIES REWARD
A total of 252 PTS are up for grabs in the 14th festival playlist, 63 PTS per season. The main focus around Donut Media includes another new Horizon Story, a five-part playlist named Donut Media @ Horizon.
That month-long event on the playlist will earn players a ‘Forza Edition’ Pontiac Firebird Trans Am as well as 12 PTS to use for each season and the overall playlist rewards. Eight more points can be won and utilized in each season by completing the Monthly Rivals and Forza EV tasks.
Essentially, clearing these three things will guarantee the unlocking of the ‘legendary’ SF90 Stradale at 80 PTS for the full series. The ‘epic’ 2017 Alpine A110 is the full series reward for earning 160 PTS.
FORZA HORIZON 5, DONUT MEDIA FESTIVAL, SUMMER
To get to that 160 PTS mark, the festival begins with 63 PTS up for grabs in the Summer Wet Season.
Earning 20 PTS will unlock the ‘rare’ #100 Lynk&Co 03, exclusive to Horizon. Double that to 40 PTS and we’re looking at the reward of an ‘epic’ Ascari KZ1R.
The #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge requires owning a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX to go through the motions to earn the 5 PTS on the line. Seven #FORZATHON Daily Challenges are also back as always, with a single point per daily completed.
The Trial for Summer is “Bumper 2 Bumper” and an ‘epic’ 2012 Lamborghini Aventador is the prize for completing, along with 10 valuable PTS to Hall of Fame players.
A ton of Seasonal Events for non-Hall of Fame players is also included as usual. Some things, like the EventLab for the week, offers up ‘legendary’ threads, while the PR stunts have those Super Wheelspins at the ready.
For car rewards, two ‘rare’ cars in the Dodge SRT Demon and the 2016 Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63, plus an ‘epic’ Ferrari 488 GTB are all obtainable in the Seasonal Championships.
We kick the festival off with a Treasure Hunt off the bat. “The New Car Show” offers a clue of “The modern 20s are the ultimate time for donuts”.
#POPUPHEADLIGHTS is the Photo Challenge, requiring a 1988 Mitsubishi Strain ESI-R to be snapped at the Hotel Castillo. The Horizon Open challenge is Drifting and Donuts and an ‘epic’ #777 Corvette can be unlocked here.
For Hot Wheels Expansion owners, seven PTS extra can be won with the two events for the week.
FORZA HORIZON 5, DONUT MEDIA FESTIVAL, AUTUMN
Moving on to the Autumn Storm Season, another 63 PTS are available to unlock neat new rewards with enough earned.
The ‘exclusive’ 1965 Morris Mini-Traveller at 20 PTS is a ‘common’ car but it fits the theme of the festival well. The ‘epic’ Ferrari 599 GTO that’s ‘hard to find’ for 40 PTS is fast and it’s neat.
For the #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge, a 2022 BMW M3-GTR is the car that you’ll need to progress through the chapter.
There will be different things to do on the daily once again, and this week brings in the Horizon Arcade to the fold for a possible added 3 PTS. There’s also The Trial with a reward and 10 PTS, but the reward was not shown on screen, unfortunately.
Once again, the PR Stunts yield the Super Wheelspints while the Seasonal Championships yield car rewards.
It’s just a common Dodge Durango for the Pop Up Headlights! one, but two ‘epic’ cars will be your in the other championships. Those are the Ariel Atom and the 1992 Honda NSX-R.
No Treasure Hunt or Horizon Open challenges in Autumn, but there is a Collectibles challenge involving the smashing of Donut Media donuts, if you will. An ‘epic’ 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is won there.
The Photo Challenge, #MOPOWABABY needs a 2017 RAM 2500 Power Wagon to be photographed at the Sierra Verde Dam.
The pair of Hot Wheels Expansion extra events include an extra PR Stunt for another Super Wheelspin and a Seasonal Championship to win a ‘common’ AMC Gremlin.
FORZA HORIZON 5, DONUT MEDIA FESTIVAL, WINTER
It gets a bit frigid in the Winter Dry Season, but that ‘legendary’ Zenvo ST1 brings the heat when you unlock it at 40 PTS.
Before that one, down at the 20 PTS mark, it’s another ‘common’ car in the 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon, but there’s nothing common about it, it’s a ‘Woody’ with the wood body panels and all!
The need of a 2001 Acura Integra Type R has never been more prevalent than it will be in Festival 14’s Winter season. The #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge depends on owning that car.
An ‘epic’ 2019 Ferrari 488 Pista is the reward for The Trial as well, again with the Bumper 2 Bumper event on the table.
Another EventLab offers up another ‘legendary’ clothing reward, while the PR Stunts will give out another pair of Super Wheelspins.
Moving to the Seasonal Championships, three cars can be won along with the 5 PTS for each championship. Those include a ‘common’ BMW M2, an ‘epic’ Nissan Ultima 1020, and a ‘rare’ Mercedes-Benz A45.
There a Treasure Hunt in the Winter! Money Pit is a weirdly worded one – “The Experimental Project – Number 5 needs 10,000 upgrades” is the clue.
Another clothing item that’s ‘legendary’ is won with the #BUFFHORSES Photo Challenge, where you’ll need the 2018 Ford Mustang GT to pose for a picture at Teotihuacan.
Finish 30th or better in The Eliminator and you can get “MO POWA BABY”. Also, hey look, a ‘common’ Morgan 3 Wheeler is the Hot Wheels Expansion championship reward. Neat.
FORZA HORIZON 5, DONUT MEDIA FESTIVAL, SPRING
The final season of Donut Media’s festival is the Spring Hot Season, and sure enough, another ‘common’ Morris Traveler is a reward at 20 PTS.
Wait a second, this Morris Traveler only has one ‘L’ in the name… Oh, that’s because it’s an older 1953 Morris Minor Series II Traveler. Again, it fits the Donut Media theme well.
For earning 40 PTS, an ‘epic’ 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 is the reward. With 63 more points to go and earn, this should be a fairly easy one to accomplish.
If you’ve got a 2010 Audi TT RS Coupé, then you’ll be ahead of the game for the #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge. Hopefully you’ve been saving up those Forzathon points to get that ‘legendary’ 2018 Apollo IE in the shop.
The Trial is one last Bumper 2 Bumper battle for Hall of Famers. Winning that will earn an ‘epic’ McLaren 600LT.
Only in the Spring will you find a Seasonal Playground Games event, and Team Flag Rush is the name of it. Competing in that will get platers a ‘rare’ 2003 Audi RS 6.
The rest of the Seasonal stuff has the usual selection of PR Stunts with Super Wheelspins as offerings for completion. No ‘common’ cars here, the car rewards include a ‘legendary’ Ferrari 812 and two more ‘rare’ cars, a 1970 Ford GT70 and a 2012 Jaguar XKR-S.
There’s only one challenge in the Spring, and it’s the usual suspect of a Photo Challenge. The ‘legendary’ SNAP! emote can be unlocked if players photograph a 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z at the Horizon Festival Mexico.
Oh yeah, two last events for Hot Wheels Expansion players. The final unlock able is nothing to get too excited over, however, as it’s just another ‘common’ car in the Morris Minor.
