A new car and brand-themed challenges have been added to JDM: Japanese Drift Master.
The pugnacious Hyundai’s INSTEROID (ALL CAPS!) takes the road-going electric city hatchback, the Inster, and adds a larger-than-life body kit and power boost.
This can be unlocked by completing a four-race-long side campaign, which you can find on the Japan-set map in-game. There you will race the regular Inster and the electric hatchback Ioniq 5. Doing so adds the INSTEROID to your collection.
If you have already completed Chapter 01, Mission 06 of the main campaign, you will be able to spot the Hyundai point of interest on the map to take part in the new events.
“By bringing our drift-spec EV concept into the virtual drift racing world, we’re redefining how mobility and gaming intersect to inspire the future — a bold step in our content marketing strategy to build brand affinity and engage next-gen consumers through experiential storytelling,” said Sungwon Jee, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai Motor Company.

The update is live today, 30th October, for PC via Steam. Meanwhile, the game will release for Xbox Series X|S on 21st November and PlayStation 5 in 2026.
