With the final set of additional content for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe set for a ‘winter 2023′ launch, Nintendo has previewed some of the content set for the Booster Course Pass’ Wave 6.
There will be eight new, or reimagined courses and four characters in the upcoming last additional set, with the cheeky folk now confirmed as the following:
- Diddy Kong (Mario Kart Double Dash)
- Funky Kong (Mario Kart Wii)
- Pauline (Mario Kart Tour)
- Peachette (Mario Kart Tour)
One track has been unveiled so far, with more details expected closer to launch. Daisy Circuit from Mario Kart Wii has been upgraded, with enhanced visuals to fit in with the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe aesthetic.
The track includes hidden boost strips up staircases within buildings, a giant hairpin for ludicrous drifts and a marina.
The entire DLC pass comes in one piece and will set you back £22.49/€24.99/$24.99. Those who have an active Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack membership have access for no additional charge.
In total, there will be 48 remastered courses, with Wave 6 following July’s Wave 5. A definitive release date is expected at a later date.
A retail release of Booster Course Pass is also expected before the end of 2023, and of note, it has a release date of 6th October but Nintendo has clarified that Wave 6 will be arriving after that date.
