  • Kei truck and trailer spotted

Playground Games continues to drip-feed information about the biggest racing game release of the year, as a new Forza Horizon 6 trailer was released yesterday (9th February 2026).

The 30s video is a much slower-paced affair compared to what we’ve seen previously, however, showcasing a sleepy Japanese fishing village rather than fast and furious vehicular action.

Offering viewers a glimpse of rocky outcrops, sandy beaches, and an obligatory Shinto shrine, the trailer also highlights the distinctive buildings players can drive past in-game. These funayas face the sea and commonly feature a boathouse on the ground floor with living quarters above.

Intriguingly, one shot shows a kei truck (which looks awfully like a Daihatsu Hijet) with a boat trailer casually hitched to its rear, perhaps hinting that FH 6 could feature driveable boats, or, at the very least, have a towing mechanic. It could also just be a prop.

Still, being able to tow alone would offer a multitude of new gameplay opportunities if present.

A long section of sand shown in the trailer also raises the possibility of something like the Chirihama Nagisa Driveway appearing in FH 6. Located in Ishikawa prefecture, this 8 km stretch of beach is open to two-way traffic almost all-year-round; the only place in Japan where this is possible.

With the game set to release on 19th May 2026 on PC and Xbox Series X|S (and PlayStation 5, later in the year), we’re sure to see confirmation on these unanswered questions soon.
