With the Season 5 update arriving later this month, KT Racing and Nacon have provided an extended look at Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown’s upcoming taxi driving missions in new gameplay.
Last seen in Test Drive Unlimited 2, these missions see you pick up passengers and deliver them to their destinations around Hong Kong Island and Ibiza.
As the gameplay footage shows, contracts will have different requirements. Some passengers will ask you to drive them to their destination as fast as possible. Others may feel unwell and ask you to turn on the air conditioning, change the radio station or obey the speed limit. In some missions, you are even required to wear specific clothes to satisfy your passenger.
Taxi missions follow the debut of car delivery missions in Season 4, as KT Racing brings more classic features and lifestyle elements to Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.
In addition to taxi missions, Season 5 will also update the graphics, with new shaders improving the water effects, as well as enhance the performance. However, this won’t include significant frame rate improvements.
Elsewhere, race payouts are set to increase to improve the. New cars will include the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Aston Martin, the DBS Superleggera and De Tomaso P72, followed by a wide-body Nissan GT-R set to arrive in a mid-season update. Initially planned for Season 4, the next Season update will also introduce multiplayer poker at the casino.
Season 5 of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will release in late October, with an exact release date still to be confirmed. Before then, KT Racing will showcase Season 5’s new content in a livestream this week on 21st October.
