Kicking off way back in July, the grid is now set for the title-deciding grand final of the 2023 Ferrari Esports Series.
Held live on 14th October, the top 12 drivers from three regions – EU, APAC and Americas – will compete for the title, the winner of which will become a manufacturer-backed Scuderia Ferrari Esports team driver for next season.
Jonathan Riley scored the overall title in the 2022 Ferrari Esports Series and competed this year in SRO Esports’ Intercontinental GT Challenge Esports competition for the Italian outfit. He will be part of the judging panel this time around alongside Tiziana Mecozzi, Project Manager at Ferrari and the P1 podcast star Matt Gallagher.
The competition uses a mixture of the Prancing Horse’s vehicles across both Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
Of the drivers who have qualified, there’s Stefano Bonsignore who also competed in the Super Trofeo Esports competition achieving a best race result of fourth this season and Veloce’s Isaac Gillissen who made the final of the Formula E Accelerate competition. GT World Challenge Esports America Sprint competitior Skyler Loverink and GT World Challenge Asia Sprint driver Chris Tsang are also ones to watch.
The winner will be determined following on-track races, with points award for finishing results, lap times and a hot lap session. Each judge will also have 10 points they can distrubte.
The grand final of the 2023 Ferrari Esports Series will be broadcast live on the Ferrari Esports Twitch channel and Ferrari’s main YouTube channel 14th October, 9 am BST / 10 am CEST.
