Co-developed by Eden Games, Codemasters and Electronic Arts, the free-to-play driving game is available for Apple (iOS) and Android devices.

It features online racing in ‘duels’, a single-player career (once you reach League 7 and higher), and daily and weekly challenges alongside car design customisation options.

As you play through, you unlock and collect parts, which in turn can be applied to your vehicle for improved performance. Now, there’s a fresh game update featuring the current real-world season and several quality-of-life changes.

The research and development system has been revised, including the ability to craft and recycle unused parts – if F1 World in F1 23 reminded us of a mobile game, on paper at least, the two titles now seem even more closely aligned.

Core mechanics include receiving boxes, which can include new parts, and building up a deck of elements to help your car’s set-up. 2023-season drivers and principals can also be added to the set-up to improve performance – contributing to elements such as braking, overtaking and adaptability.

There’s also been a graphical uplift for those with more recent and powerful mobile devices, in particular the lighting exiting tunnels or at venues with night races.

Last but not least, there’s now a showroom and a revised menu design. There’s no word yet on Qatar and the new Las Vegas tracks being added to the title.

The 2023 season update is now live, 15th June, for all supported devices. There will also be a limited-time in-game challenge featuring none other than Braking Point 2 star Devon Butler.

Fresh from his latest story appearance, you take on the somewhat divisive racer head-to-head, and they will even talk right at you. If you successfully complete the event, which ends 24th June, Butler’s crash helmet is yours to use within the game.
