Frontier Developments has moved quickly to fix several issues on its recently released F1 Manager 2024 title, releasing a v1.4 update today to help address some of the game’s more troubling problems.
The headline problem for many players – and noted by the Traxion team during our time with a pre-release version of the game – was that contract counter-offers were mostly broken, leading to the breakdown of negotiations with players’ top targets.
As we discussed in our update preview, Williams’ 2024 steering wheel has also made its first appearance in the game, forgoing the team’s original concept of a dash-mounted screen in favour of the de rigueur wheel-centred display.
Random game crashes have been a bugbear of many players since F1 Manager 2024’s release, something Frontier has acknowledged by fixing GPU-derived errors for PC users.
Incorrectly applied grid penalties when changing powertrain parts have been zapped too, with AI teams now prevented from developing the same car parts throughout a season.
F1 Manager 2024’s v1.4 update is available to download now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Details on further Nintendo Switch version updates have yet to be revealed.
