Frontier Developments’ Formula 1 Team Principal sim F1 Manager 2023 is coming to Xbox Game Pass, it has been announced.

The strategic take on F1 will be ready for budding Toto Wollfs and Christian Horners to try on the 19th of October and will be available across both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles via an Xbox Game Pass subscription (£8.99 per month)

PC Game Pass owners can also access the game on PC (£7.99 / $10.99 per month), with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate owners (£12.99 / $16.99 per month) able to play the game on both Xbox consoles and PC.

The Game Pass announcement comes after a mixed week for Frontier Developments, as the Cambridge studio announced it would be cutting costs and laying off staff to counter pre-tax losses of £26.6m for the 2022-23 financial year.

F1 Manager 2023’s version 1.9 update also dropped on Monday, with frequent patches continuing to build on the game’s solid – if unspectacular – release.

In our review, we said, “If you missed out the first time around [with F1 Manager 2022], F1 Manager 2023 is the definitive way to unleash your inner Guenther Steiner… but Race Replays and Exclusive Scenarios offer a fresh take on Frontier Developments’ F1 Manager formula”.
