Today, however, EA Sports has revealed the release of F1 22’s Original Game Soundtrack, available to stream on Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music now.
The Original Game Soundtrack features the orchestral background and incidental music found throughout the game, comprising 18 pieces of ambient music. Of those 18, six are entirely new to the franchise, with 12 more tracks recycled from F1 2021 and packaged as ‘Bonus Tracks’.
Of the six new tracks, two were created by Greek electronic music artist Mihalis Aikaterinis – aka MIKTEK, with the other four by Ivor Novello award-winning composer Ian Livingstone – featuring vocals by Julie Seechuk and strings by the Sofia Session Orchestra.
Livingstone also composed the videogame soundtracks for GRID Legends, a number of Total War games, and the MotoGP franchise. He also has a long-running association with the EA/Codemasters F1 games, also boasting an impressive CV in the TV and film world.
