- Both created by SCS Software and sharing the same underpinnings, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are the preeminent truck titles on PC
- Now the market leaders are set for both PlayStation and Xbox consoles
- Store listings for both games on both platforms are live, labelled as ‘announced’ and ‘release date to be determined’
There are many truck simulation-style games available for PlayStation and Xbox, but all (so far) are pale imitations of the real lorry legends – Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) and American Truck Simulator (ATS).
The problem is that SCS Software’s tech-sharing behemoths of haulage are resolutely PC-only. Great if you own a PC, not so great if you only have access to a console.
Except, not any more.

PlayStation and Xbox store listings are live for both titles, with a ‘release date to be determined’ tag and listed as ‘announced’ for both titles. These have arrived before any public acknowledgement from the Czech development team.
While the PS Store doesn’t list the platforms – although it does note that the ‘PS5 version’ has trigger vibration – the Xbox store states you can play on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S within the specifications.
