Emily Howe wins third round of Screen to Speed’s Summer Cup

Emily Howe has won the third round of the Screen to Speed Summer Cup competition. Once again using iRacing, only this time at the first oval venue of the season, the field in identical JR Motorsports Street Stock cars.

As for every round in the series, the entry list was decided by an open time trial around the International Speedway venue.

It looked to be Kristina Ryan’s race to win, leading from the second stage onwards. However, on the final lap, a spin handed victory and the round win to Howe, with Ryan clinging on to second in the round points.

In-person Vegas champion earlier this year, Saoirse Fitzpatrick was involved in an incident that would lead to her retirement. Fitzpatrick did win the second round and posted solid results in the opener, so is still very much in title contention.
