Some of Le Mans Ultimate’s most-requested features will not form part of the game’s fourth update, it was revealed today (30th January 2025).

The ability to create Teams will be delayed until ‘early May’, according to a press release issued by developer/publisher Motorsport Games. The Teams feature should allow players to form a racing outfit and choose a driver roster, making the most of the sim’s proposed driver swap mechanic.

Driver swaps, a key facet of the World Endurance Championship on which LMU is based, will now also form part of a previously unplanned fifth update, and can be managed in-game alongside Teams in online and offline game modes. These features will be available to all LMU players when released.

Driver swaps and custom liveries for Le Mans Ultimate delayed

The ability to produce custom liveries for LMU’s range of Hypercars, GTEs, LMP2s and LMGT3s has also been delayed until May but will only be available to RaceControl Pro and Pro+ subscribers (as already stated in the past by MSG).

A RaceControl Pro or Pro+ subscription will enable drivers to download other players’ liveries too, as well as set their ‘Team Identities’ in-game. Subscriber-only Team Online Championships will be deployed at the same time.
