Dior adds a touch of glamour to Gran Turismo 7 with new livery and full race suit

French fashion house Christian Dior has unexpectedly thrown its finely tailored hat into the racing game genre, by producing a smart new livery for the De Tomaso Mangusta in Gran Turismo 7.

Not only that but Dior-themed gloves, overalls, racing boots and a helmet will also be added to Polyphony Digital’s flagship PlayStation racer.

Inspired by Dior’s vintage motorsport advertisement campaigns of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s – including a Group 6 Porsche 936 emblazoned with the company’s ‘Jules’ brand of male fragrances – the De Tomaso features a cream livery with the classic ‘CD Diamond’ motif featuring throughout.

The car and overalls are also adorned with the number 47: a nod to the fashion house’s first ever show in 1947, organised by its founder Christian Dior.

The Dior gear collection in GT7 is designed by the brand’s Artistic Director of men’s collections, Kim Jones, and will be available to purchase from the Legend Cars dealership from the 25th of August – presumably alongside another GT7 content update.
