Dave Cam’s POV of the Week – Week 3, NASCAR Trucks at Talladega on iRacing

The Superspeedway racing found in the top levels of NASCAR racing are some of the most intense, most anxiety filled moments in all of motorsport. It happens to be Talladega week in the real-world for all three of the Top 3 NASCAR National series. What a perfect time for Dave Cam to give us a relatable POV video!

Dave Cam‘s POV of the Week is back on iRacing again this week in the NASCAR Class C Trucks at Talladega. The HUD is off, the camera is recording from atop Dave’s head, and it’s about as close as you can get to experiencing the draft in the real-world thing.

Unlike the road racing discipline you’d find in the other two POVs, when Dave ran the C9 at Le Mans in the rain and the GT4 at Daytona under the lights, this week, it’s about the two wide, maybe three wide and sometimes four wide racing with the pedal kept pinned directly to the floorboard.

Dave has Fanatec’s NASCAR rim bolted on this week as he takes on the 2.66-mile oval Superspeedway in Alabama. He’s starting in 15th in the 19-truck Top Split race. 25 laps are on the board, and positions are changing all throughout the field just about every second.
