With the GT3, FF1600 and FIA F4 all ‘done and dusted’ in Dave Cam’s Done & Dusted series, Dave is quickly running out of what he would consider good cars to race in for the rest of the challenge. With iRating gain on the mind, front loading his 2023 Season 3 races with combinations that he’s poised to gain in could either be a golden strategy, or it could spell disaster.
Dave was interested in the new LMP3 this week, but since it’s at a track he’s not too familiar with, he went with a car that he recently took on for an entire season in a previous Traxion.GG series, the Toyota GR86, and for this week, it’s the car of choice at the Nürburgring in iRacing’s new Ring Meister official series.
This series is unique in the fact that it utilises the same track, the Nurburgring, all 12 weeks, but changes the car every week. It’s almost like what Dave is doing this season, except his challenge has also brought him to four different venues in the process. Calculated, perhaps, but the numbers don’t lie. Dave is up 147 iRating points already.
Unfortunately, qualifying has Dave placed back in fifth to start this four-lap stint around the Nordschleife. Thankfully, his pace should be much better in racing conditions. Can Dave make his way to the front by the end of things to keep the iRating gain train rolling for a fourth straight week?
It’s a bit longer than usual, with lap times near eight minutes, but you won’t want to miss this one. After you’re done here, remember to check out the Traxion.GG website and YouTube for even more Dave Cam contented all of the other racing game, esports and equipment content we’ve posted. Keep it pinned!
