For the 11th week of racing in 2022 iRacing Season 3, Dave Cam is throwing it back to the classics. Dave Cam’s Combo of the Week features a car we’ve seen a few times this season, the fixed Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020. This time, he’ll be wheeling and dealing around at the Silverstone Circuit.
Dave has dedicated this season’s videos to bring to light some of the best official races on the iRacing service on a weekly basis. Last week was an interesting one with the Skippies at the Nürburgring. This week, it’s more of a common combo for Dave, and as he puts it, it’s just one of those things that goes well together.
Silverstone’s Grand Prix circuit has 18 corners and comes in at 3.19-miles or 5.13-kilometers. Like “gravy on a Sunday roast,” these GT3 cars are absolutely perfect for this layout. The Fixed Ferrari GT3 Challenge series this season has had a lot of these similar combinations.
Dave’s only got 15 minutes to get from the back of the starting grid as far forward as he can. He’ll utilise the tips and tricks from his previous Track Guides, things like alternative lines for passes, maximising the whole corner for better speed off, and somehow he’ll do it slow and methodically to gain a ton of spots in a short amount of time. You’ve got to check it out.
If you want to see some of those previous track guides, as well as all of the other Dave Cam content on the Traxion.GG site, check out what we’ve got over in Dave’s video library. Will you be giving the Ferrari’s at Silverstone a shot this weekend? Let us know in the comments!
