Italian sim racing peripheral manufacturer Cube Controls has unveiled its latest pedals, which are set to be a pared-back version of its flagship SP01 pedals.
Exhibited during last week’s ADAC SimRacing Expo, the SP01 Core pedals are designed to be entry-level, dispensing with the SPO01’s hydraulic braking element in favour of load cell technology, while still retaining Cube Controls’ renowned build quality and attractiveness.
Each of Cube Controls’ SP01 Core two pedals is CNC-machined from a single block of aluminium, with its chunky and robust-looking design set to increase durability and stability.
Although the pedal arms vary slightly from the SP01’s, the overall look of the SP01 Core is very similar, barring the blue anodised finish to the componentry and hydraulic fluid reservoir, naturally.
Cube Controls is best known for its range of professional-grade steering wheels, including tie-ins with Mercedes-AMG and the Honda Civic TCR programme, with its venture into pedal manufacturing last year coming as a pleasant surprise.
Cube Controls SP01 Core price and release date
Cube Controls’ PC-specific SP01 Core pedals will retail for 729€ + VAT, and are expected to be released before Christmas 2024.
