Fanatec’s sim racing cockpit range has expanded with a new device originally conceived as a Corsair product.

The Fanatec ClubSport GT Cockpit initially debuted as an unnamed device last year as part of the American gaming peripheral giant’s plans to expand its horizons.

Then, it purchased Fanatec, and now with a dedicated simulation motorsport brand under its wings, the existing design has made it to market under the German brand.

First seen with the latest nomenclature at October’s ADAC SimRacing Expo, it is built around 50mm thick steel tubing and the ability to easily add on Corsair-affiliated accessories such as PCs and Elgato webcams and Stream Decks. Cable management, with areas to hide wires and stow power bricks, has also been a priority.

Once set up, further adjustments to the wheel base, seat and pedal positioning can be made without the need for tools.

In Traxion’s testing, the matching new seat was both spacious and cosseting – the Fanatec GT Cockpit Seat is an optional extra retailing for €339.95. It can be placed in either a laid-back formula-style or GT/rally upright position.

The cockpit itself, available in either white or black, retails for €914.95.

The included in-build monitor mount is compatible with standard 100x100mm VESA mounts, supporting screens from 32” to 49” ultrawide. Triple screens can be supported by purchasing a coming-soon monitor accessory.

Pre-orders for both colours and the seat went live today, 8th January 2025, with the first shipments dated for 21st January 2025.
