Circuit Superstars creators tease new game

The diminutive Vancouver-based team, primarily made up of five people three of whom are relatives, released its top-down triumph initially via PC Early Access in March 2021, followed by a full launch on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch.

It mixed cute visuals with the need to know your racing lines and consequently fostered a dedicated online multiplayer crowd.

Now it seems Original Fire Games is working on something new, teasing a fresh project via social media earlier today, 17th August 2023.

All that’s been posted so far is a stylised view of a kart, with the hashtag #karting and that’s it’s made using the popular indie game tech stack Unity.

The development team is fanatical about motorsport, with a lineage in real-world racing, so we expect this next game to be serious in some way – perhaps if it may not look like it initially. Let’s wait and see.

From this solitary image, there looks to be more detail in the car models than in Circuit Superstars, which accurately modelled suspension and engine components.

While no further details have been unveiled, Traxion.GG expects more information sooner rather than later.
