US-based modding team Authentic Simulation has revealed two of its upcoming projects, both arriving as fully licensed products.
Rush SR
Today (Friday 14th June), HSS has released the Rush SR track day car for Assetto Corsa, featuring real feedback from the Rush Auto Works factory in Texas and handling input from real Rush SR drivers.
Using dyno sheets, CAD files and other proprietary data, AS has brought the 513kg single-seater to life in Kunos’ evergreen simulator, with virtual lap times comparable to those achievable in the real world.
The car produces 145 bhp from a one-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, with power deployed through a six-speed paddle-shift sequential gearbox featuring auto blip and no-lift functionality.
The Rush revs to 11,800 rpm and has adjustable dampers, springs and a limited-slip differential, with brake bias changes possible from the cockpit. The car is a true pocket rocket, with its tiny dimensions (the SR measures 3325mm W x 1500mm H) belying its impressive performance – 0-60mph arrives in a prompt 3.3s.
Authentic Simulation’s Rush SR is available to purchase today from Sim Vendor for $3.99.
Belo Horizonte
Just like the Rush SR, the Brazilian track Circuit de Belo Horizonte is an officially licensed mod that will be compatible with Assetto Corsa.
Belo Horizonte is a brand-new street circuit designed to host Brazil’s premier motorsport championship, the Stock Car Pro Series, with the track’s debut event scheduled for this August.
Authentic Simulation has in fact worked very closely with the Stockcar Pro Series in bringing the track to AC, sharing data for the most comprehensive end result.
Featuring tight chicanes, notable landmarks like the 2014 World Cup venue Estádio Governador Magalhães Pinto (better known as the Mineirão) and a surprising amount of elevation changes, Belo Horizonte is an intriguing prospect, especially as it hasn’t featured anywhere else in sim racing up to this point.
Measuring 1.926 miles, Belo Horizonte provides a stern sim racing challenge and will surely provide some spectacular action when the Stockcar Pro Series makes its debut this year.
The track is available to pre-order today from Sim Vendor, with a full release scheduled for 21 June, costing $3.99. A combined pack of the Rush SR and Belo Horizonte is also available at a discounted rate of $5.99.
