Motorsport Games has appointed a new Brand Marketing Consultant for Le Mans Ultimate, signing up former Assetto Corsa brand lead Nick Turner.

The move comes at an interesting time for the sim racing industry, with Assetto Corsa EVO recently launching into early access at the start of the year, followed by developer Kunos Simulazioni joining back up with its co-founder Stefano Casillo.

Meanwhile, Le Mans Ultimate recently turned a year old and hit record post-release player numbers.

“We don’t pay any marketing dollars. We don’t pay any influencers. We get people knocking on the door all the time saying, ‘We’ll work with you, can we do a paid promotion?’ and we decline as we don’t have the money for it,” said Motorsport Games CEO, Stephen Hood, to the Traxion Email Newsletter last week (sign up for more, each week).

“But to start to turn that around and then to get our elbows out versus some rivals, that’s pretty powerful for us.”

The appointment could mark the beginning of increased marketing activity for the official FIA World Endurance Championship simulation.

“It’s really exciting times for Studio 397, Motorsport Games, and for me personally to be joining the team,” said Turner to Traxion.

“Le Mans Ultimate is making huge waves at the moment and the progression of the product is gaining great momentum and lots of love from the community.

“The clear vision and direction that Stephen Hood, Ben Rossiter-Turner and the talented team at Studio 397 have is really exciting and something I was keen to become part of.

“Pulling together a team of people who have a personal passion for motorsports and allowing them to be creative in what they love is priceless and the perfect recipe to make for a successful title.”

The outfit recently won a legal battle dating back to 2020’s NASCAR Heat 5, has been granted a listing extension by Nasdaq and is working on fresh investment. It will announce its full year 2024 financial results on Thursday 20th March 2025.
