Yesterday, 29th July 2025, after 11 long months since a PC update, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S Assetto Corsa Competizione players were treated to 2024-season driver names, teams and liveries.
However, for those on Microsoft’s console, most steering wheels became inoperable, with devices by the likes of Thrustmaster, Logitech Moza and Fanatec widely reported to stick in position once Competizione was started.
“Geez and I thought my kids had ruined my wheel,” read a comment on the Traixon website by community member ksgomesaust.
It was a sentiment shared by many via social media last night, as their sim racing wheels locked into one setting before rocking back and forth.
There has been, at the time of publication, no official update via ACC’s publisher, 505 Games’, support website. While the game is created by Kunos Simulazioni, the console porting is carried out by Untold Games under the stewardship of 505.
Traxion reached out to the publisher and has received confirmation that it is working to fix this issue as a priority and as soon as possible – although no timeframe has been provided yet.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused to Xbox players following the latest ACC update,” said the 505 Games spokesperson to Traxion.
“We want to reassure everyone that we are actively investigating the issue and are working to release a fix as soon as possible.
“Thanks for your patience!”
It follows the surprise launch of the first significant console update for the title since the Ford Mustang GT3 was added in May 2024. It also arrives as creator Kunos mulls over the possibility of further updates to the now six-year-old sim racing title.
