Kunos Simulazioni has today (28th April 2022) released a patch for its GT World Challenge game, Assetto Corsa Competizione.
The update for the PC version weighs in at 1.36GB and brings with it a host of improvements to the popular sim, notably a display fix for an engine map assignment issue.
The headline addition, however, is the introduction of bonus liveries from the official 2022 GT World Challenge Europe series. These join the WRT Audi ‘VR46’ paint scheme of the rookie driver and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, which was released with the new Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II as part of the Challengers Pack DLC.
The patch also adds liveries for the upcoming Alpine Esports Series, in which some of the best esports racers in the world battle it out for a real-life Alpine A110 GT4 experience. The series begins this evening and will be broadcast on Alpine’s Twitch and YouTube channels from 7.30 pm BST/8.30 pm CEST.
We recently held a podcast with Kunos Simulazioni’s Marco Massarutto, who teased further additions coming to ACC in future, including a track pack and the v1.8 update for PlayStation 5/Xbox Series X|S users. He also divulged some interesting tidbits on the future of the Assetto Corsa franchise.
With the GTWC Europe liveries added to ACC, we should perhaps expect more 2022 cars in future, including further British GT content. The 2022 Oulton Park race-winning Balfe Motorsport Audi is already in-game, so fans of GT3 racing will be keen to see the rest of the grid join it.
