It’s good news for Xbox-owning GT3 racing fans, as Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa Competizione is free to play this weekend.

The official game of the GT World Challenge motorsport series can be sampled between 12:01 a.m. PDT/7:01 a.m. UTC on Thursday the 26th of January and 11:59 p.m. PDT/6:59 p.m. UTC on Sunday the 29th of January, on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The console ports of Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) were performed by different companies, with the Xbox One version’s port performed by British studio D3t, while the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions were ported by Italian firm Untold Games.

Assetto Corsa Competizione arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, 24th February 2022

Although development ceased for the Xbox One and PS4 versions in early 2022, the next-gen console versions now more closely resemble the PC edition of the game thanks to their recent v1.8 updates. This means console owners can enjoy the latest American Track Pack and Challengers Pack DLC.

Despite being buggier than the PC version, this weekend is a great chance to try before you buy and sample ACC on console for free.
