In a surprising announcement, owners of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Assetto Corsa Competizione will be able to access new content today (29th July 2025).
‘New’ is a bit of a misnomer, however, as in this case it constitutes 2024 GT World Challenge liveries, driver lineups and the full GTWC Europe Sprint and Endurance championship seasons.
Fortunately, the 2.9 GB update is completely free and can be downloaded now, featuring liveries like Valentino Rossi’s #46 Team WRT paint scheme and Proton Competition’s debut Ford Mustang entries.
Developer Kunos Simulazioni strongly hinted that ACC could receive further content additions, with a social media post claiming “We’re not done with Competizione yet.” Whether this means new tracks and cars or simply more minimalist updates like this one, is yet to be determined.

Although 2024 GTWC content isn’t ‘new’ per se, having already appeared on PC 11 months ago (!!), any kind of ACC activity from Kunos is surely a positive sign, something we’ve previously speculated about (especially with Assetto Corsa EVO’s initial struggles).
However, please note that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of ACC are no longer supported, so previous-gen console owners won’t see the 2024 updates.
Are you happy to see an update to Assetto Corsa Competizione on console? Let us know in the comments below.

Unfortunately it appears the update has also totally borked FFB on the Xbox. Not worth the trade 🙂
Hi all,
Geez and I thought my kids had ruined my wheel….. I was almost going to reload ACC and reload firmware back to the wheel
My setup is xbox, ACC and thrustmaster ts-xw with sf-1000 wheel
Any news on patch from KUNOS?
Looks like it may be time for PC ………(
Unfortunately it’s radio silence so far – we have contact ACC’s publisher, 505 Games (Kunos doesn’t port the console versions) and we await a response.
Yes, I along with many of my fellow Black Flag Racing league members found out yesterday after being forced to download and update our ACC sim game to version 1.9.14.0 for Xbox X|S consoles in order to continue to play or launch open the sim game. Upon opening it was observed that none of our DLC content cars were available from the single player menu, but oddly the DLC tracks could be viewed via single player menu. The DLC Cars could however be seen from Multiplayer menu which was puzzling and frustrating. Now by far the largest and most severe problem for all of us Xbox X|S consoles ACC users is this new immediate disasteress effect of rendering our expensive FFB wheel bases with a nasty COVID like bug that was introduced into our ACC sim game as of July 29th 2025 with this precious new update from Kunos 505 developers in over a year. How sweet of them to curse us all, their loyal customer base and render our blessed steering wheels utterly useless inside their ACC game afterwards, which is beyond frustrating mates! To report, my personal Fanatec clubsport DD wheel base spins out of control in game to the right and locks rocking my wheel back and forth with concerns of it actually damaging the $1000 wheel base by attempting to exert any physical force to fight the large brushless motor back. This issue has also been reported on many other styles of Fanatec wheel bases along with our Moza and Thrust Master wheel base owners! However, some of our members have indicated that they could still use their Logitech G29 wheel bases so go figure?? I’m not sure what it is about today’s world where developers like the now cursed and crumbling CrowdStrike security company and now Kunos where they can simply release bad software coding that are advertised as free content upgrades but that can have such a profound and negative impact for so many of their users. This neglect or malice behavior is so damaging for their customer base but oh what that does for their companies image and reputation! Dare we forget what they do along the way and how many of us that they lose not willing to touch their future featured products down the road. It has left our league racing members stranded unable to continue in their current season of Xbox console sim races for points that matter to us a great deal, I mean sim racing is a terrific hobby and now I don’t have an excuse to my spouse not to get my lawn and outside chores done this week. Do these bad software upgrades even matter to the developers, I mean our private paid ACC servers cost money, regardless of these whimsical, clumsy developers at Kunos 505 games for not properly testing and re-testing their coding before rolling out a major software update, especially when an update hasn’t been rolled out in over a year, you have got to ask yourself what the hell they are smoking or drinking over there! How does a developer not go about listing any patch notes for this software revision but simply indicate exciting new livery updates and new season drivers which most league racers could care less about but in reality their update is just breakiing and rendering the use of our FFB wheel bases useless? Maybe that condition should have been listed in their patch notes lol. Sim racing equipment is not cheap these days, either should their coding efforts be cheapened by oversights and lazy practices of their development, shame on them!!
