Asetek Initium DD10 Wheelbase will be PC and Xbox-compatible
Set for release in ‘Q4 2026’
Asetek Racing has revealed it’s working on bringing a new Xbox-compatible wheelbase to market this year.
The Initium DD10 Wheelbase is Asetek’s latest entry in its entry-level Initium range, and produces 10 Nm of torque and is compatible with the full range of Asetek’s steering wheel lineup, with a Q4 2026 release date mooted.
The DD10 will feature USB passthrough technology to allow the use of third-party wheelbases, with its torque output upgradeable to 14 Nm, presumably through an alternate power supply, although this has not been confirmed.
Pricing details are unknown at this stage, but the PC and Xbox-compatible wheelbase does represent Asetek’s first nascent steps into the console sim racing space, something the Danish firm will be keen to build on after its recent acquisition by Suzhou Chunqiu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
In terms of software, the DD10 will operate via the firm’s proprietary RaceHub application, which handles firmware updates and force feedback fine-tuning.
‘DD10 removes the barriers that have held sim racers back: real direct drive performance, the freedom to use the wheels you already own, and compatible for Xbox,’ said André Eriksen, CEO and Founder, Asetek Racing. ‘It is the most accessible way into the Asetek Racing experience,’ he continued.
