After much anticipation and frequent content teases from developer SCS Software, American Truck Simulator’s Montana DLC pack has finally been released.
The pack arrives as part of a long line of American Truck Simulator (ATS) map expansions, a list which also includes Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and New Mexico.
Montana brings 15 cities and 17 settlements to the game, including Butte, Missoula and the state capital, Helena. Montana’s landscape shapes its industry, so expect to be delivering to and from timber and mining operations throughout the state.
Montana also attracts tourists in their droves thanks to its diverse landscape. Visitors come for outdoor pursuits such as fishing, mountain biking and kayaking, but also come to visit the stunning scenery: Yellowstone National Park is on its southern border and Glacier National Park is to the north-west.
#CruisingMontana event
To coincide with the release of the Montana DLC, SCS Software has launched a #CruisingMontana online event.
If ATS players manage to make deliveries to at least 12 cities in Montana (with each delivery totalling 100 miles or more), and the total ATS player base achieves 100,000,000 in-game miles over the course of the event, they will receive a Sapphire Meadowlark ornament for their cab and a Montana Grizzly paint scheme for their truck.
The event runs until the 25th of September, 23:59 UTC, so plenty of time to rack up the miles and earn those rewards. To register, players must sign up for a free account on WorldofTrucks.com.
ATS’ Montana DLC is available to purchase and download from the Steam store, priced at £9.99/$11.99/€11.99.
