It’s time for American Truck Simulator players to don their Slipknot hoodies and munch on some corn on the cobs, as Iowa is the subject of the game’s next DLC map pack.

Nestled between the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, Iowa is famed for its rich, natural soil leading to its status as the biggest producer of corn and soybeans in the USA.

Originally home to several Native American tribes, the whole area was fought over by French and Spanish forces throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, before officially becoming part of the US in 1803.

Virtual truckers can expect to explore the rich grasslands of the ‘Hawkeye State’, with its biggest city, Des Moines, home to the iconic, gold-plated dome of the State Capitol building. Agriculture will naturally be the main industry when the DLC lands, but expect plenty of variety thanks to the aforementioned great rivers.

American Truck Simulator’s Iowa DLC is available to Wishlist on Steam now, with the price expected to be £9.99 based on previous packs.
