- F1 24 Season 4 starts 12th November
- New Survival Challenge mode
- Unlock up to four special liveries
Season 4 of F1 25’s live service updates start this week, bringing with it a new ‘Survival Challenge’ game mode, four special liveries and a Driver Ratings update.
Survival Challenge mode brings a different take on Elimination
Playable between 12th November 2025 and 7th January 2026, Survival Challenge is a new limited-time game mode introduced in Season 4.
The new multiplayer mode sees you race against four other players, with the car in last place knocked out in two-minute intervals until the last player remains. Each race takes around five minutes to complete, with DRS available on the first lap.

Yes, Survival Challenge is simply another spin on Eliminator mode, a recurring game mode that has appeared in multiple season updates as a limited-time event.
This time, the twist is that you’ll unlock ‘Survival Tokens,’ which can be used to unlock special liveries and driver helmets. The new special liveries include the Ferrari Monza, Sauber Miami, Red Bull Japan and Racing Bulls Miami designs from the 2025 calendar.
You can only claim them for a limited time, too, with earned Tokens being wiped between the two parts of Survival Challenge. Each part includes two liveries and three helmets to unlock as follows:
Part 1 (12th November – 10th December)
- Ferrari Monza livery – 2400 Tokens
- Sauber Miami livery – 1800 Tokens
- Hamilton Monza helmet – 1250 Tokens
- Leclerc Monza helmet – 1250 Tokens
- Antonelli Miami helmet – 900 Tokens
Part 2 (17th December – 7th January)
- Red Bull Japan livery – 2400 Tokens
- Racing Bulls Miami livery – 1800 Tokens
- Verstappen “Orange Lion” helmet – 1250 Tokens
- Verstappen Japan helmet – 1250 Tokens
- Russell Miami helmet – 900 Tokens
Each of the four event goals rewards 800, 1200, 1500, or 2000 Tokens each week, with liveries costing more than helmets. Additional Tokens can also be won for completing goals, such as a certain number of laps or events, or travelling a set distance.
Survival Tokens can’t be purchased, meaning that playing the online Survival Challenge mode is the only way to claim the four liveries. Previously, liveries were rewarded for completing solo Pro Challenges.
Driver Ratings update
With only three races left on the calendar this year and Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen fighting for the championship title, F1 25’s Driver Ratings have been updated to reflect recent performances.

After securing Williams’ first spot on the podium since 2017 Carlos Sainz’s driver rating has increased to 85, while rising star Ollie Bearman gets a boost up to 80.
With the Driver’s Title falling out of reach, Oscar Piastri’s rating drops to 92 – the only driver with a lower rating.
Furhtermore, Season 4 sees Argentinian Franco Colapinto join the line-up alongside Pierry Gasly at Alpine, replacing Jack Doohan in new Career saves. Doohan will still appear in existing saves, with Franco Colapito appearing in the Formula 2 Driver’s Market.
Podium Pass
Season 4 also brings a new Podium Pass, with 50 levels of free and VIP rewards. Among the free rewards include 2,500 PitCoin points and a Shatter livery set comprising a car livery, race suit and gloves, whereas the VIP can unlock an Atlantic 2 sponsor livery set and 6,500 PitCoin.
F1 25 players can also claim a free gift in December, with more details to follow.
