A new update has been released for Tokyo Xtreme Racer, addressing a number of balance and quality-of-life issues.
Released on PC via Steam last month, TXR has gained plaudits for its revival of an old-school career mode featuring a host of exciting JDM-based vehicles and challenging AI opponents.
The V1.0.2 update specifically addresses skills, with early indicators suggesting that the effects of ‘Pioneer’s Secret LV5’, ‘The Key to Victory LV5’, ‘Pride of Speed LV5’ and ‘Pride of Defense LV5’ were too powerful.
As a result, Genki has nerfed the aforementioned skills and addressed a few bugs, including career mode discrepancies and UI issues, with the studio also working on a PlayStation 5 version of the game in the background.
