Upcoming sim racing title Project Motor Racing, from Straight4 Studios and GIANTS Software, recently confirmed PC and console mod support, a single-player career and a 25th November 2025 release date.

In April, select journalists and content creators were able to test a work-in-progress build early, but soon, access will be opened up much further through a combination of events and test programmes.

Here’s how you could try Project Motor Racing early.

FarmCon 25

5th-6th July, Austria

The yearly Farming Simulator get-together will have a playable build of Project Motor Racing this time, by dint of sharing the same GIANTS publisher and graphics engine as the esteemed virtual cultivation platform.

This year’s event takes place at tractor manufacturer Lindner’s Innovation Centre in Kundl, Austria, between 5th and 6th July.

Attendees will be able to watch Farming Simulation presentations, including an overview of a new expansion, experience a factory tour and even test a real-world Lindner on track. Project Motor Racing will also be playable.

“FarmCon 25 will not only allow attendees to play the latest Farming Simulator installment: With the upcoming Project Motor Racing, published by GIANTS Software and developed by Straight4, visitors can also experience the thrill, intensity, and beauty of professional motor racing,” said GIANTS.

Goodwood Festival of Speed

10th-13th July, United Kingdom

Right at the bottom of England is the UK’s premier motor show, the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It includes an eclectic mix of new and historic road and race cars, with displays and even competitive runs up a hillclimb in front of Goodwood House

Five-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Derek Bell will be celebrated at this year’s running, which ties in with Project Motor Racing as he appeared in the game’s inaugural trailer.

Visitors will be able to test the embryonic sim title at the event, although it’s not clear where exactly it will be located, yet.

SimRacing Expo

17th-19th October, Germany

The world’s largest sim racing exposition wouldn’t be complete without a new sim racing title available to test.

Like Goodwood, the final details or the setup are for later, but GIANTS Software has publicly confirmed its attendance at the Dortmund event – which is a must-visit for sim racing enthusiasts.

Factory Driver Program

At home

This isn’t an event, but rather a form of pre-release testing, analogous to a beta, but each player must apply and then they are hand-picked for selection.

Once it, there is a unique feedback system, with longer qualitative answers allowed, but also a quick-response feature about specific driving attributes.

The Factory Driver Program was detailed by the developers to Traxion recently, and it is believed that it will upon up to more people ‘soon’, so keep your eyes peeled

Potential – Gamescom

20th-24th August, Cologne

Europe’s pre-eminent games show (and since the cancellation of E3, probably the world’s) takes place each year in Cologne. And each year, GIANTS Software has a suitable, well, giant, presence there for Farming Simulator.

If Project Motor Racing is at FarmCon, then while not confirmed, we’re willing to bet an entire Lister Storm on it being at Gamescom…
