When Assetto Corsa EVO releases on PC (first) via an early access programme, it will be far from the finished article. The open-world Eifel area (with refuelling) is slated for a ‘summer’ addition, and no form of online multiplayer will be present initially.

So, then the big question remains – when will the feature-rich version 1.0 be released?

Well, it sounds like in the fall (or autumn) of next year.

Assetto Corsa EVO everything you need to know

When Marco Massarutto, Co-Founder and Executive Manager at EVO’s creators Kunos Simulazioni, was asked about police being in the open-world environment by OverTake, this was his response:

“Actually, this is quite a cool idea we have had as well.

“It’s not going to happen in Assetto Corsa [EVO] 1.0 next fall, but it is something you could possibly expect in the future…”

1.0 is a term used in gaming to describe when a game reaches the end of the early access phase, with 0.[insert number] builds released during the work-in-progress phase.

As soon as a ‘version 1.0’ build is released, it is no longer in early access – although further updates and version releases are still expected.

This is the first time a release window, or target, has been attributed to EVO’s version 1.0.

The early access period was then later clarified by Massarutto as “eight or nine months.”

With EVO being an ambitious project, and with several key elements not present when the initial version launches in a few weeks from now, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect version 1.0 much later than fall 2025.

But no, it sounds as if it is set for a launch somewhere between Monday 22nd September 2 and Sunday 21st December next year – remembering of course that development roadblocks or unforeseen delays could occur during early access.
