Fanatec launches WRC-themed CSL Elite wheel peripheral

Rally fans can now buy a steering wheel peripheral designed specifically for the sport of WRC, helping to master stages with extra precision. A new addition to the existing CSL Elite Series, the Fanatec CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC features a genuine Alcantara grip, snazzy orange stitching, an integrated three-digit LED screen to display speed information, a RevStripe display highlighting engine RPMs and short-cuts to the Tuning Menu for settings changes during gameplay.

In terms of formfactor, it’s a round wheel – which sounds daft to mention, but the GT/formula-aping Fanatec wheels are not – with a rim that measures 300mm in diameter. This is said to be a realistic size, aping real-life wheels within rally vehicles. It also comes with natty metal orange shifter paddles, featuring Fanatec’s renowned ‘Snapdome’ clicking. These can be removed should you want to use the optional ClubSport Static Shifter Paddles instead.

In terms of buttons, you’ve got the choice of Xbox branded affairs, or switching them out for the included ‘Racing Style’ buttons, minus the console-specific branding. The new WRC-themed wheel is compatible with the follow Fanatec wheel-bases across PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles:
