There will be an update coming to NASCAR 21: Ignition this week, just days before the running of the 2022 Daytona 500. It should be the expected 1.4.5.0 patch that was announced back in January on social media in the roadmap. This update most definitely will include a new Test Drive mode for the NASCAR NEXT Gen Ford Mustang. Per the roadmap, it should also include a “Shaky Cam Toggle” in settings among other quality of life improvements.
Starting on Thursday, 17th February, players will be able to hop into the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports NEXT Gen Ford Mustang for test driving at Daytona Int’l Speedway. For fans traveling to the Daytona 500 this upcoming weekend, the Test Drive mode will be available to try out at the eNASCAR Arcade at the track.
NASCAR’s NEXT Gen car will be on display in the real world for the first time for a points paying race this week in Daytona. Just over a week ago, the NASCAR NEXT Gen hit the track for the first time in race settings at the LA Coliseum Clash. The NEXT Gen car is fully replacing the sixth generation car that was in use from 2013 to 2021 in the NASCAR Cup Series.
