  • Deal set to bring a GEN4 car mod to Assetto Corsa

Renowned Assetto Corsa mod maker Race Sim Studio has revealed a licensing deal with Formula E.

RSS makes some of the most detailed and authentic vehicle mods on the market, including accurate representations of modern Formula 1, GT3, LMDh and LMH cars. Although it has previously worked with Alpine Sim Racing and other unnamed motorsport brands, the Formula E partnership represents a major stepping stone for the UK-based firm.

Thanks to real-world data, Formula E’s latest GEN4 car will arrive in AC replete with the series’ Attack Mode and Pit Boost features, alongside realistic powertrain and regenerative braking models.

rFactor 2 has previously enjoyed a tie-in with the electric-only single-seater series, featuring the championship’s cars, tracks, and liveries (in some form) since 2017, with the 2026 paint schemes added to the sim in June this year. Motorsport Games’ largely inactive platform also formed the basis of the championship’s Accelerate esports series.

RSS’s deal with Formula E may represent a wholesale switch to AC for future esports competitions, as the studio will also create branded broadcast overlays, including information like remaining energy as well as Attack Mode and Pit Boost statuses.

At the time of writing, RSS has not yet announced a release date for its GEN4 Formula E car.
