Assetto Corsa EVO 0.5 set to add seven new cars, two tracks, this week

Assetto Corsa EVO’s next update is set for a release this week, with the aim of it arriving on Thursday, 12th February at 10:00 GMT / 11:00 CET.

The Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno and current-generation BMW M2 have already been confirmed, with released images, for this update. The latter will have a version with M Performance aesthetic parts equipped, while the former will be in four variations – presumably one is a drift-specific setup.

Previously seen in past EVO trailers, the Mk1 Volkswagen Golf GTI will make its in-game debut, alongside the star of the recent free-roam trailer, the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

However, there are three cars that, so far, have not been teased.

The Dallara EXP is a more aggressive, track-only derivation of the Dallara Stradale already included – it can be had sans a windscreen.

Meanwhile, the Audi Sport quattro (main article image) is the stubby, short-wheelbase, Group B homologation version of the coupe. The road-going variant was used to build upon for Audi’s most extreme rally car.

Finally, there’s the Caterham Seven 485 CSR Final Edition. This is a more extreme British two-seater, compared to the Academy seen in Evo presently. It uses a naturally aspirated 2-litre Ford engine, and this especially trimmed edition marked the end of production in 2024, due to tightening emissions regulations.

Two tracks and multiplayer maintenance

Watkins Glen was confirmed simultaneously alongside the BMW M2 earlier this year. It will be joined by Circuit Paul Ricard in 0.5. Both will have four layouts.

To facilitate the update, multiplayer services will be unavailable from Tuesday, 10th February at 8:00 GMT / 9:00 CET until Thursday at 10:00 GMT / 11:00 CET.

The update follows a change in approach to the early access sim racing title’s career mode, removing the planned experience points and currency systems, replaced by an expanded driver academy. Free-roam and further multiplayer modes are still on the way.
