Then Gran Turismo 7 added the Fiat Panda in December 2025, the playbase was awaiting the next update because surely that would also include the ability to engine swap it.
Thousands of outrageous tunes and custom liveries had already been created. Bodykits were already in GT Auto. It just needed the option of putting in a motor bigger than 652 cc, or roughly the size of a microwave.

And with January’s 1.67 update, that ability is now possible.
Into your boxy Italian city car, you can now place a VTEC Honda Integra Type R unit, for maximum fizz.
Elsewhere, the Hyundai Elantra N can be fitted with a Lexus engine from a SuperGT race car – you’d be mad to though, what with the Korean saloon being front-wheel drive.

The Peugeot 205 GTI also makes its engine swap debut, with, of all things, the engine from the Volkswagen GTI Vision GT Concept.
Finally, the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 and Toyota Crown Athlete G receive their second engine swap options. Both are wild. The Blackpool sportscar can now have a Group C Jaguar race car V12, and the Japanese salon the Pagani Huayra’s lump.
