  • Next RaceRoom update and content drop expected in December
  • Further DTM, old and new, cars plus a new track
  • Quarterly updates henceforth, with features and content

RaceRoom Racing Experience is experiencing a resurgence of late. The 12-year-old PC sim racing platform has recently released updated visuals, new content and a new ranked multiplayer system.

This has revived the title, with the highest number of players since 2020 throughout October 2025.

To capitalise on this momentum, the KW Studio team is hard at work on its next update, slated for under two months’ time.

“The Q4 update will arrive in December,” says Christian Baur, RaceRoom’s Director of Strategy and Sales, to Traxion.

One quality of life element that could be part of this December release is a fresh user interface design. Currently, the driving sim technically has two in use simultaneously – the existing layout for most menus, and then a fresh look for the aforementioned re-done multiplayer experience.

“The goal is that the new design you see in the ranked multiplayer will be rolled out over the whole game,” explains Baur.

“It should happen really fast because first of all, I don’t like that we have two designs in the game, and people said, ‘Hey, the new design looks great’

“We are trying to get it done in the Q4 update at least, and if not, in the Q1 2026 update.”

Further DTM content expected

Buoyed by the success of classic 1990s Super Touring and DTM content, where nostalgia has proven to be powerful, but also a differentiator, RaceRoom has more cars from yesteryear on the way.

These are currently slated for the Q4 December release.

“[The next car DLC] will be DTM related,” teases Baur.

“Everyone knows that a current car pack is missing and everyone knows that we have DTM car classes not filled up, and both things will be done in December.”

Looking at the game’s store, there’s currently a 2003-spec Mercedes-Benz CLK from the DTM, but Audi and Opel models from the ‘00s are conspicuous by their absence. So too is a 2025-season official DTM set.

“I think we will also have a new track. We have a strategy, and every quarter we will add something.”
