The New York venue is set to expand Assetto Corsa EVO’s roster, as a shot was hidden within a December trailer.

It was there all along, hidden in plain sight, within an official Assetto Corsa EVO promotional video hosted by the developer’s lead Marco Massarutto – a five-second shot of Watkins Glen.

In our defence, the trailer in question was published on 25th December 2024, so the Traxion team was busy over-cooking some vegetables…

Still, it’s not been picked up by many, but at 1:26 that is the exit kerb, barriers and runoff area for the American circuit’s first corner – The 90.

A venue that can also be seen in Kunos Simulazioni’s last sim racing title, Assetto Corsa Competizione, the distinctive rumble strip, and in the distance, advertising hoardings are the main pointers.

Paused at the right time, you can also see the entry to the Esses, which leads up the hill to the Back Straight (main article image).

You can also pause this NASCAR onboard video from Juan Pablo Montoya at 0:59 to compare and contrast.

Of note, Fuji Speedway was teased similarly during an earlier preview video, only to be confirmed for a release ‘soon’ on the official 2025 roadmap.

Watch our YouTube video, embedded above, that explains when to expect new features in 2025 for Assetto Corsa EVO.

It will join the likes of Laguna Seca and Circuit of the Americas as tracks both in the USA and ACC also appearing in EVO. The former is already in the initial early access build, while the latter is confirmed for the ‘second early access update’.

There’s no time frame for Watkins Glen to be added. Five venues are present currently, a list that will expand to 15 by autumn this year, and then 20 when five further free tracks are added after a version 1.0 release.
