Hypercars are quickly becoming ubiquitous in sim racing. 

Starting with Gran Turismo 7’s Toyota GR010 back in 2022, almost every major sim or racing game has included the latest generation of LMDh or LMH Hypercar since, particularly iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2.

With the likes of RaceRoom set to add Hypercars in the near future, we thought now would be a good time to examine how the category is represented in each game, and, more crucially, if they are simulated correctly.

Thanks to their complicated hybrid systems, some developers get it right and some get it wrong. Very wrong. You may be surprised by the results…
