WATCH: revisiting Assetto Corsa Competizione’s multiplayer on PS5 –

A couple of weeks ago (29^th June 2023) our very own John Munro dove the PlayStation 5 version of Assetto Corsa Competizione just after its new v1.9 update. 

Heading online for some competitive multiplayer action, we found ACC on the PlayStation 5 to be a frustratingly buggy experience, with seemingly random incidences of grip loss ruining our racing experience. 

With a patch released to fix the issues on the 6^th of July, we thought it was only fair to see if the online experience has improved. So, John jumped back into the hotseat to give it another chance. 

He got off to a bad start thanks to the Japan-based server offering up glacially slow pings, causing multiple incidents, but in fairness, several of the low-ping servers were out of reach thanks to the Traxion.GG account’s low safety rating (SA).
