Following a triumphant return three weeks ago, where Floyd Vanwall-Burst and Oracle Red Bull Racing won their respective classes during the 8 Hours of Bahrain, the Le Mans Virtual Series is back again for the second round.
This time, the race is half the length, at ‘just’ four hours. The venue has also changed, this time Italy’s Monza. As ever, qualifying will be live on the Traxion.GG YouTube Channel a day ahead of the race.
The same 40-car entry, 24 in LMP and 16 in GTE, remains, however some drivers have changed. Each team has a rotating list of four drivers across the season and some have taken the second race to cycle through some of their options.
Amongst the real-world and professional sim racing talents entered for this race, Porsche has decided to make use of ADAC GT Masters driver Ayhancan Güven in the #20 Porsche Coanda LMP alongside Tommy Østgaard and Mitchell deJong.
FIA World Touring Car Cup race winners Esteban Guerrieri and Maťo Homola will also join the grid, alongside 2021 Asian and European Le Mans champion Yifei Ye, 2009 American Le Mans Series LMP2 champion Luis Díaz and S5000 driver Cooper Webster.
Both the LMP2 grid and the GTE grid will get a chance to do their own separate qualifying session on Friday. Each class will get 20 minutes to put down their best time to set their place on the grid on Saturday.
The racing esports talent is top-tier too, with experts across all major platforms present. Current DTM Esports and Formula Pro Series champion Kevin Siggy, GT World Challenge Europe Esports champion James Baldwin and Formula Challenge race winner Risto Kappet will all take to the grid.
Two-time Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup champion Joshua Rogers will compete against 2022 champion Diogo Pinto.
The stream starts with the Le Mans Virtual Cup race event, also at Monza, preceding the qualifying sessions. You can watch all the action live on Traxion.GG once again this season as we’ll be one of the official media partners of the series this season.
