The Le Mans Virtual Cup, where the rFactor 2 community can compete for a place on the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual 2023 grid, will head for Monza on Friday 7th October 2022.
The grid of identical Ligier LMP3 machines will line up at Monza, the same venue as the upcoming 4 Hours of Monza for the main Le Mans Virtual Series.
The entry list for the second round has already been decided, with Team Fordzilla’s Shaun Arnold the quested hot-lapper, via the Competition System.
However, new for this round while the entry times still determine splits, they will not determine the grid. Instead, a 15-minute qualifying session will. It will then be followed by the live 45-minute race with a rolling start.
While Vojta Polesny was initially declared winner of the opening round at Sebring, this will now be re-run later in the year.
The points standings after three LMVC events will set the grid for a fourth, decisive, round at Le Mans, where our 2022 LMVC winners will be crowned. Last season’s prize-winners, Luca D’Amelio and Christopher Högfeldt teamed up with Juan Pablo and Sebastian Montoya at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual in the Le Mans Virtual Series (LMVS) Guest Car.
LMVC races will be conducted as part of the LMVS qualifying broadcast, set to take place this Friday 7th October from 18:00 BST, live on the Traxion.GG YouTube channel. Racing gets underway at 18:10 BST, with LMVS qualifying following from 19:10 BST.
