It’s been three weeks since Dave Cam started putting his money where his mouth is by competing in the official Global Mazda MX-5 Cup series on iRacing. Unfortunately he hasn’t gotten any wins to show for it to this point. Granted, Dave has been spotting the field by attempting to start last every week, and every race so far has been a net gain of spots. Can his next race in iRacing 2022 Season 1, the Week 4 event at Summit Point Raceway put him in virtual victory lane?
We already know that Dave knows the track from the proven slow and methodical approach shown off in the Week 4 Track Guide for Summit Point Raceway. Now, Dave has to do 10 laps around the two-mile, 3.22-kilometer venue at Summit Point. Dave starts on the second to last row today. With some luck and some pro alternate line strategies, Dave just might be able to get up to the top of the leaderboard before the laps run out. You have to watch and find out!
