A championship battle is about to go down.
Alex Gillon’s F1 2020 My Team playthrough returns triumphantly after a convincing victory at Monza in episode 8. The Traxion.GG driver put it on the pole, ran the fastest lap, and won dominantly. Alex led every lap and put a beatdown on the rest of the field, an incredible feat on 110-percent difficulty.
Back in the race shop, the team is back to sixth-fastest after a performance increase by AlphaTauri. Traxion.GG teammate Mick Schumacher has yet to score any points, so the constructors is likely out of the question. The drivers title, however unlikely it was to start the season, is now very much a real possibility.
With a 38 point advantage over Max Verstappen, Alex and the Traxion.GG F1 team just need to make sure they stay more than 26 points ahead to win the title. Both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas have an outside shot as well, but they’ll need to be perfect and Alex will have to score no points.
The Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka is next up and Verstappen has the advantage after qualifying. With the Red Bull driver up in P3 and the Traxion.GG team starting P11, Alex has a bit of a hill to climb to clinch early. Will it be a championship day in Japan or will the fight continue into the finale?
