The 2022 rFactor 2 Formula Challenge Series will take the up-and-coming open-wheel racers to Donington Park for the fourth round of the six race season.
Now at halfway through the schedule, which has seen a Spa showdown won by Jordy Zwiers, a Monza nail-biter conquered by Martin Hemmingsen, and a dominant Daytona display by Philipp Drayss, another fairly new arena is next up for the challengers this season.
New to the fold as of May of this year in the Q2 content drop, Donington Park will host this lineup of incredibly talented young sim racers later today (27th June 2022). After an off-week for both the Challengers and the Pros, now the Challengers will race before the Pros as their next event is 4th July.

Every other week, alternating with the aforementioned Formula Pro Series, the Challenge Series will take center stage with some of the best up-and-comers on the rFactor 2 ranks. After a third-straight runner-up finish at Daytona, Sander Kallas continues to lead the overall standings by 19 points over Christian Michel.
As usual, the field will be set by the competition system beforehand, but they’ll have to qualify once again for 15 minutes, with each driver getting six laps to better their time.
Once the field is set, the race will last for 45 minutes. In the Challenge Series, drivers are not required to make any pit stops. However, the pitlane will be open and can be utilised through the show.
