The dominant championship leader, Max Verstappen, rightly extends his lead at the top of the F1 23 game’s driver rating scoreboard.

The latest driver rankings in EA SPORTS’ F1 23 are out, and unsurprisingly it’s Max Verstappen leading the way out front. The Dutchman has been in devastatingly dominant form this season, after claiming 10 wins from a possible 12, and has built a 125-point gap at the head of the championship to team-mate Sergio Perez.

His real-world form has been replicated in F1 23’s driver ratings too, with his experience, racecraft, awareness and pace stats all enjoying a one-point increase, bringing his overall rating to 96.

His nearest challengers, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, also see their overall rating increase by one to 93, with 42-year-old Alonso enjoying buffs on his awareness and pace stats. Hamilton, on the other hand, has been given a pace increase which is offset by a decline in his racecraft abilities.

In terms of other movers and shakers, George Russell, Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz Jr. all face reductions, while McLaren’s Oscar Piastri has been bumped up three points overall thanks to his heroic podium efforts in the sprint race at Spa-Francorchamps, with his pace stat increasing by a whopping six points alone.

Bringing up the rear is the seat-less Nyck de Vries on an overall rating of 70, with Logan Sargeant not too far ahead on 71; the American continuing to struggle in his debut season alongside the impressive Alex Albon at Williams.
