The next update for EA Sports’ F1 22 is set to release on Tuesday (11th October) with loads of new content for players of the title. The headlining addition to the game is that the 2022 FIA Formula 2 World Championship will now be playable, as well as the launch of Podium Pass Series 3.
With the addition of the 2022 Formula 2 content, you’ll get to drive the 14 round Formula 2 season will include F2 Sprint, and will feature F2 drivers such as Logan Sargeant, Jack Doohan and Felipe Drugovich. F2’s included 14-race season should start at Bahrain and end with Yas Marina, mirroring the real-world schedule.
30 tiers will be included in Podium Pass Series 3, both free and VIP, and that will launch on Wednesday, 12th October. These customization items will include liveries, gloves and helmets that include visuals such as flames, patterns of the American flag and a Mexican ‘Day of the Dead’ inspired scheme.
There are some other neat things to look forward to in the updates. Champions Edition players will now have Mika Häkkinen as an in-game icon for the My Team mode starting 17th October. The McLaren Future Mode livery will be a free download for all players for a limited time.
US-inspired items will also be deposited into players in-game mail on 17th October. Finally, “The Griddy”, which is a dance thing that went viral, apparently, will be part of the update. Now your driver can celebrate a podium finish with it. That joins the game on 17th October as well.
